I second that.
With MLDownloader, I've done a pretty good job of assembling two-year
Metastock databases for three markets, from Yahoo and MSN data. You
can combine symbol lists into a single database and set different
symbols for
reference and download. It's a good companion for AB and
support's been good.
After I bought MLD, I did discover that there is another program which
says it enables IB clients to download a year of data from IB. I
haven't tried it yet but it resides at
http://home.cidadevirtual.pt/jtwsdump/ if anyone wants to check it out.
I figured this could be useful to me at some point if keeping the
database updated on days when Yahoo and MSN are a little clunky gets
too tiresome.
