It is just a matter of finding the bar of the first signal. This is a
matter of determining what function can provide you with the
information you need. To me, Cum is a good one as it counts the
signals since the start of the data, and will be ==1 when the first
signal is found. This process I feel is the main stumbling block for
all novice users wanting to write AFL. You have to ask yourself what
are the basic steps to defining what you want. Do not try to do the
whole thing in one, but take it a bit at a time
CountSig = cum(buy);
FirstSig = CountSig==1 and ref(CountSig,-1)==0;
FirstBar = valuewhen(firstsig,barindex());
