With all of the recent graphics additions I am sure Tomasz has produced
all of the things I need to use to duplicate charts like the one
attached that I produce in Excel from Amibroker data. The question is
now how...
The issue I run into is trying to duplicate the labels attached to the
indicator and replicated on the index chart. What I would like to do is
store the highest/lowest value over "N" periods and plot just those
values to keep the chart from being overcrowded. My thought is I need to
use something like StaticVarSet but something that can hold an array. If
I create an array that has the HHV/LLV it will many times create
duplicate streams of entries each day the indicator moves higher/lower
over "N" periods. I need to filter the labels somehow so maybe I need
to explore using this in combination with Zig/Zag etc.. I am not sure if
I need to loop through the data or if there was a simpler way to get
these values.
I am not sure how to attack this and looking for some ideas. Plotting
the labels is the only thing left to figure out to avoid having to use
excel. I create and print for distribution a lot of these type charts so
any time savings I can find is helpful.
