Hello Bill,
thanks for your help.
I have tried a similar way but the problem is that it would detect it always
when a new low is detected.
I need to know the at every bar in the chart the 2nd lowest low. Yesterday I
thought that I know the solution,
but I have seen now that it isn't correct.
Can anyone help ?

If I understand - see if this produces what you want:
2ndchannellowback = valuewhen(ref(lowerchannelline, -1) < lowerchannelline,
ref(lowerchannelline), -1), 2);
