Hi Tomasz and all,
I have been lurking here for years now - probably about 6. And always
look forward to the posts by you all.
I love Amibroker and always look forward to the new features. I have
fun with them, but most importantly I profit from them in many ways. I
rarely have posted, but feel I needed to now.
Most of my trading "gurus" don't use Amibroker and post codes in
Metastock and Bullcharts language (very similar). I usually am able to
convert these to AFL with help from code I have found here and in
other places. I rarely ask for help, and have always received it. I
have often felt I would be better to move over to Metastock or
Bullcharts, but haven't as I love Amibroker as a craftsman loves his
favorite tool.
I have particularly welcomed the new watchlist features as I am more
of a discretionary trader and like to have lots of watchlists. Thanks
TJ for these new features.
As to the sorting problem. I too was unable to sort my watchlist
tickers, till today. I have been having some small problems with my
computer and suspected a virus or something. I always run an AV and
anitspyware, but found nothing. I used Microworld Antivirus & Spyware
Toolkit utility today and it found numerous adaware/spyware registry
entries I believe and deleted them. Since then I can now sort my
watchlists. One of my other main problem has also been remedied.
I have no affiliation with this software in any way and am surprised
at the results as I am always careful. I really thought they may have
been false positives. All I know is that the results are there and I
don't believe there would be any other reason for this.
I am running Windows XP SP2 by the way.
This might explain why some can use the feature while others cannot.
It can understand how frustrating for a programmer it might be with so
many different users and an infinite number of configurations trying
to get support from you.
