EMA in AB has been made to be identical to metastock, which initialise the ema to the value of MA at the 200th bar in your case, and may be thats the

reason why its different. however the two EMA should converge over sufficient period of time.

To get the "real" EMA use

myema = AMA(C, f) where f = 2/(period + 1)

Would anyone know why ....
I have 2 chart providers. 1. Amibroker and the other is Incredible
Charts.
When i plot a 200 day EMA on both Amibroker and Incredible charts i get
different readings when i compare the same stock ???????????
Both EMAs are programmed at the close, both end of day ?????
Any help appreciated .
