FWIW, I have a yahoo email address. Their spam filter collects suspects but since I use Outlook express everything comes through to my computer, unless I first open yahoo email web site and delete collected spam. And I have had problems with hard bounces as well...perhaps 3-4 times.

I want to reemphasize that I believe this to be a Yahoo problem. I quote Yahoo's description of the Hard Bounce: "1/7/2007 amibroker msg #104553 1/7/2007 Hard Bounce:". This does not match the facts:
  1. I did receive msg # 104553. It was not bounced.
  2. Yahoo sent and I received Yahoo emails for at least two full days after 1/7/2007, showing that I was not bouncing (at least any more).
  3. The real date for msg #104553 is more than two weeks prior to that given in Yahoo's description.
  4. There is nothing in msg #104553 that even resembles any kind of spam.

BTW, I use mail.com, aka iname.com, for forwarding ALL my email to my Pop3 account. Mail.com subcontracts spam filtering to a third party, outblaze.com. I have tried in the past to get outblaze and Yahoo to solve this problem. The response I received from outblaze.com was:
"If yahoogroups is letting through viruses to your account, and then treating hard bounces from our antivirus filtering as regular hard bounces, that is a fault in their system, and has to be fixed by them.
I am sorry but it will not be possible to turn off spam and virus filtering on individual mail.com accounts.

BTW2, here is a typical response from Yahoo:
"Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Groups.
We would like to reassure you that we are investigating the problem you reported. We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.
  Regards,

Yahoo again interrupted my email receipt of Amibroker group postings. This has happened to me at least a half dozen times and they always blame a "Hard Bounce". I know that this has happened in the past to other Amibroker group members as well.

I posted the following feedback with Yahoo. I hope that others who experience this same problem will do likewise. If enough of us complain perhaps Yahoo will make some effort to fix their software. Or maybe we could find different provider?

    =====================================
Recently you stopped sending me email from the Amibroker group. Your system says that there was a hard bounce as of: "1/7/2007 amibroker msg #104553 1/7/2007 Hard Bounce:"

Well, I did receive Amibroker messages through 1/10/07 12:59am. So your system should have realized that even if there has been a "hard bounce" that the situation was somehow resolved!!

Also msg #104533 was posted on 12/23/06 at 9:01am by Jerry Laster and I did receive it just fine.

Obviously Yahoo Groups software has some serious bugs which desperately need attention.
