IMHO, far more important than the particular indicator that you use is HOW you use it.  An indicator is only as good as the user of the indicator is. 

Find  creative ways to plot some kind of average of your favorite OSCILLATING indicator over the past one to three months.   I only use OSCILLATING indicators.

In other words, find a way to smooth it over several months, and buy when the numerical value of your favorite OSCILLATOR indicator has pulled back a little.    Ron D.
