As may of you are aware one of the major chores in maintaining your
own database is keeping it up to date. Jim Swindle solved this
problem for many of us using the free Yahoo data starting with the
original US Stocks database. Since that original database there have
been many changes and a complete update of industries etc. by Hemscott
for Yahoo. Jim tackled the problem with a simple easy to use Template
of the entire Yahoo database released about a month ago. All you have
to do is pop it in the Amobroker program files, open and you are in
business. It's as simple as that but be sure to read Jim's
instructions. He contemplates updating periodically with his latest
update released 11/30 ? see Post # 103845 or go to his web site at
http://www.icc-az.com/Update-AB.html. In the newest template he has
incorporated many ideas that users requested so it is much improved.
We all need to give Jim special thanks for this extraordinary
contribution to the betterment of Amibroker users. Keep up the good
work Jim as it is most appreciated by all.

PS: Tip for those not interested in the ".OB' or "PK" stocks in the
database. I found the quickest way to remove is go to his spreadsheet
and sort by column with those stocks copied. Paste in a watch list
then use "Organize Assignments" under Symbols to delete all at once
(about 2156 stocks).
