Tomasz J, I know it all depends on the compiler, however if it's not
multithreaded the compiler won't write it and the system won't look
ahead to see if another proc is available, is this correct? With the
newer dual cores and soon to be quad cores sofware usually lags
behind. With AMD the mem controler is on die and bottle necks aren't
like they were. When doing global number crunking (formula applied
to a series of stocks, the other proc could already be at the next
in the series cutting the time in half). I am by no means a true
anandtech geek but I do read alot, will Amibrokers utilize the
second core any time soon?
PS I am happy to hear about the 64 bit upgrade and the 25% boost.
Looking forward to jumping on board after holiday.
Thanks for your time.
