I'm not speaking for TJ, but from my personal experience this can in
some cases be a lifetime job ... It is somewhere between impossible
and difficult to diagnose problems on machines and o/s'es that you
can't get your hands on and while this may not be the issue this
time around, users in general are usually notoriously bad about
reporting what they are doing and what they are experiencing ...

does not reflect others experience and might be due to use of
machines without much 3rd party software that users tend to collect
and that you cannot reproduce. If you are right and the problem is
due to conflicts between software then that will undoubtedly
continue to be the case because users will always be using other
programs. A cautionary note would acknowledge this reality.

Regardless of restarting program, settings, clicking there and here
and doing every other imaginable thing.

you just try to change the properties without exiting first?. For
me, this sequence always results in an inability to change the
properties after restarting the program.

properties to be modified and properly displayed at that point

problem" responses did not indicate that Amon's sequence, including
the critical step of exiting the program before attempting to modify
properties, was followed and may not have been used.

the chart first. The charting tools work properly until the chart
is closed. After they are closed, properties are locked. However,
if the charting study is deleted and redrawn then the changes
appear. So the program remembers the changes but does not
implement them until the charting study is redrawn.

How can I move or edit tools in this case? I found just one
solution: to use Delete All Studies and redraw them, but so I lose
all study lines.
