If you are really interested in cycles you should read the following
(1) J.M. Hurst's work - The Profit Magic of Stock Transaction Timing. The
capability of AB to program such work is limited at best. An attempt was
made in this direction in the group and if I am not mistaken was not
particularly succesful. An implementation of Centred MA Bands is available
by a gentleman called Clyde Lee over at http://theswingmachine.com . This
product is based on the TradeStation platform. Please note I have no
commercial affiliation of any kind with Mr. Lee's business nor can I vouch
for the accuracy/efficacy of his offering.
(2) The work of George Lane of Investments Educator i.e. "Using Stochastics,
Cycles & RSI". George Lane was the gentleman who developed the stochastic
indicator. Using the concepts outlined in this book is very much possible in
AB.
The two books should get you started.
