The beeps could point you to the source of the problem.
Your computer user manual may list them under POST errors.
Here is an old list as a starting point:

Subject: [amibroker] OT: Windows 2000 startup
I get several codes on boot-up that show up at the lower right corner
of screen plus a few beeps.
The codes are all 4 character codes such as 0078, 007C, 0085, 0001.
A search on boot errors or startup erorrs does not find anything
similar to these codes.
Anyone recognize these?
