Yes, this seems to reveal the problem.

In the past IB allowed primaryExchange to be specified as "SMART" or
"BEST". This was the working default for all past years. 

Now apparently they force people to use SUPERSOES for all Nasdaq stocks.

For other exchanges you have to provide exact primary exchange.

This is very annoying change in my opinion, as it forces people to exactly
know the exchange given security is traded on. And primary exchange names are
not that obvious for average user (for example not NASDAQ but SUPERSOES)

So GOOG-SUPERSOES-STK, QQQQ-SUPERSOES-STK, etc.
