I just tried NYSE stocks and it works for me as well: like CRK-NYSE-STK or
CRK-NYSE

however I can't download Nasdaq stocks. I tried for instance
VRSN-NASDAQ-STK and VRSN-NASDAQ and I get again the message that the symbol
is invalid. Any ideas?

i've been able to get AMEX and NYSE issues...by using -NYSE or -AMEX
extensions on the ticker.
eg DIA-AMEX T-NYSE but nothing for nasdaq related or currency related
IDEALPRO symbols.

it doesn't matter. My account even doesn't work with version 857
anymore. There is something else going on. Although I can show IB's data are
coming in (using the program VB_API_Sample.exe) they must have changed
something in the format of the data so that Amibroker can no longer read it.
Weird thing is that for some accounts it works and others it doesn't.

issue. i uninstalled both tws and ab and reinstalled. still giving invalid
symbol error.

        Help....

        Thanks,
        Nurudin

        PS
i've learned my lesson...don't upgrade till Tomasz tells you to!

Did you upgrade your TWS to 860.9? If so, downgrade to previous
version.
