Thanks for your critical observation, I was not aware of. 

 

This makes tick data from IB really useless in its current form.  Hope they have plans to make improvements.

even if Backfill worked perfectly, it is not very useful for tick data.

 

since IB does not transmit time stamp of data it is impossible to reconstruct
the tick data chart.
