Can't do without AFL, but you can add this single line to use a fixed
trade amount instead of all of your available equity:
PositionSize = Param("Position Size",3375,-100,1000000,1);
You would set the position size = the value of the number of contracts
to trade. (The margin deposit.)

Subject: [amibroker] Futures Position sizing
Hello,
Without using AFL how would one suggest setting a maximum number of
contracts allowable per trade? Using the Settings tab I have indicated
a maximum number of allowable open positions as 1. However when
running a backtest the systems is maximizing the number of contracts
available per my simulated equity. I'm curious if someone has had a
similar experience and what was the solution.
Many thanks...
RM
