I would add that only visible charts get
refreshed.

Subject: RE: [amibroker] When does
AFL execute?
1) afl executes each time
a new quote arrives, for IB data a quote is a snapshot, for eSignal it tries to
be for each and every trade. The are also some refreshes that occur when no
data is coming in, these happen at abou 1-2 second interval.
2) Status() is sample at
each afl execution
5) this depends on your
SetBarsRequired(), AB uses a smart refresh (Quick-afl) that will only refresh
the number of elements needed to create the visible display.

Subject: [amibroker] When does AFL
execute?
Hi
all,
I am having a hard time grasping some of
AmiBrokers concepts and can't
find a the answer in the manual. Could someone be
so kind as to explain:
1. How often during a Real Time intraday time bar
do the AFLs execute?
2. ...During an RT tick bar (every tick)?
3. How many passes through the AFL get executed?
4. Is there one pass for each STATUS?
5. In real time do the arrarys get completely
recalculated for
everybar on each pass?
Thanks for helping a new transplantee understand!
