No 2 is a good question that I don't know the
answer to.

No 1 - It can't work the same way as the old
version since drag and drop was introduced, now a double click will insert
the
indicator on the chart.  The 'new' way is
to right click and select "edit" from the drop down list...voila!
the
indicator pops into the editor just as I think
you described with syntax highlighting. You can modify the formula
and save it under another name if you're pulling
up standard indicator formulas.   But as far as parameters there's
another
way to work that one also, as a parameter list
will pop up in your pane where you can use "slider bars" to
adjust the parameters instead of hard coding
them in the AFL.

No. 3 ...do a right click on your chart window
and you'll get to chose from two tabs   Parameters and Axis/Grid

Choose the style you want from the parameters
window.  I'll bet the tutorial on drag and drop would help.

Best regards

  Subject: [amibroker] Newbie (to version4)
  questions.

I used version3.x for awhile and when I got a new 'puter, I
didn't load AB, just kept using Metasytock. Can anyone help
  with:
  1.  What happened to the old "Indicator Builder", where
clicking on a function from the list pasted the function into your formula
with the correct syntax and you just filled in the necessary parameters?
Sure made building new formulas very easy.
  2.  Is it possible
to display a daily chart on one sheet and a weekly chart on another?
  (That's SHEET, not WINDOW)
  3.  Is it possible to display a bar
chart on one sheet and say candles on another? (again, SHEET not
  WINDOW)
  Thanks for any
help Alan
