Hello,
Of course price $229 is for NEW users only (Professional Edition).
64-bit version is simply a "flavour" of Professional Edition, so new users
registering for Professional Edition will be able to choose between them
freely (no extra fee).
As far as *existing* users of 32 bit version are considered, 64-bit version will be
a) FREE for existing users of PROFESSIONAL edition who originally paid $229
(purchased AmiBroker PROFESSIONAL edition AFTER December 1st, 2004 )
b) will cost $100 for everybody else but this also includes "Professional Edition" features
(RT features, MAE/MFE charts and other stuff) plus RESTART of
free upgrade periods, so you will get all updates from 4.80 to 5.30 included in the price.
This is based on simple idea that:
a) Standard Edition license allows you to use 32 bit only
b) Professional Edition license allows you to use either 32 or 64 bit version or both (if you want to).
PLEASE ALLOW ONE WEEK FOR SETTING UP OUR AUTOMATIC REGISTRATION SYSTEM
