I have an Intel processor and also believe backtesting is strange behaving.

 

The one thing in common we have is that we use a tick based database

Never ever blame the processor. AMDs are best things out there.

 

AmiBroker is developed on AMD-based system and it works for sure.

I have the same problem only mine worked with version 1.4.3.0, later than that it do not work.

 

Could it be the processor (AMD)?

 

My computer uses AMD Athlon 64 processor 2800+ 1.81 Ghz, 768MB ram and XP Professional 2002 with service pack 2.

 

However it worked with my notebook (Compaq) with AMD Turion 64 mobile ML-32 1.79Ghz.

My problem is that with anything over version 1.4.2 I do not get "ANY" backfill at all.

In finest backfill resolution supported by TWS (which is 1-second bars, as TWS never offered true ticks),

you should be getting at most few hundred of 1-second bars (max. 2000 according to TWS docs but I my tests

show smaller values)
