I had eSig EOD (and RT) as a datafeed to AB. It worked just OK - not
good or excellent. It was cranky & slow sometimes - It had problems
with splits - you had to wait until many hours after the mkt closed to
get today's data. And the biggest is the $$$$$$.
I experimented with Yahoo! It works much better - it downloads faster
& cleaner data AND ITS FREE! Even better, you can download today's
prices with the 'Current' option in AmiQuote. I download 1 hour
before the market closes, work up my signals, then enter trades before
the close. I have made many $$ thousands off this, because you can
enter trades on the day the signals occur - rather than at next
mornings open and loose the profit from a gap open - after all of the
eSig and MetaStock traders have had a chance to analyze their data.
