[amibroker] AB optimized for dual core processor?

Hi

I am building a new computer and trying to figure out which processor to
buy. My needs are obvious - run AB smoothly with streaming data and allow
smooth multi-tasking (I like to play a CD while burning another one while
having multiple browser and chat windows open while....)

I am not a gamer at all, nor do I do anything that is video-intensive.

Is AB designed for or to take advantage of dual core processors? I am asking
without really understand the question - it is my impression that the
software you are using has to be optimized for dual core before dual core
will make any difference for you. I am not a tech-head as you can tell.

Any help is appreciated.
