Tomasz,

When I tried Sim trading with AB and simulator I was trying to enter trades in the portfolio manager.

This was awkward for me but I thought I'd try it.

One thing I found out was that I couldn't do short trades.

Basically I'd like to practice trading outside of trading hours using data already in AB to get the feel of actually trading different methods that rely more on a persons reactions and therfore not easily coded into a mechnical system.

In real trading I think I would probably use Bracket Trader to execute stops and profit targets etc. I don't know how I would accomplish this with AB+Simulator. Just seems like what I want to do is let the simulator run and pull the trigger myself.

Hello,

Why would you need to buy BT while you have all functionality already in AB + Simulator (or script).

Best regards,

Hi,

I have just noticed that Bracket Trader offers a "Custom Data source" feature.

It is available only in the paid version of BT.

Before I purchase BT, I was wondering if anyone has the paid version of BT and if it will feed off of AB for its' quotes.

This would allow us to do "tick replay" .

Thanks,

Greg
