Have you tried plotting the advance decline as an indicator in its pane?
I pretty much do what you have done, but for the ASX market.
One thing I have noticed in that when one looks at the chart for the Adv Dec line and go symbol , Calculate composites, tick Number of adv/decl issues, select all quotes, This Market ASX and then click Calculate it takes a while to compute this. The mouse pointer changes to an hourglass. Then when this stops, click close, and then on my two machines the adv decline line only updates then, (when I click close.)
Use the built-in Adv Dec line or make your own with a moving average.
I run this weekly.

Supposedly Amibroker has a built in Advance/Decline
and volume
calculator under the "Symbols" tab .. Calculate Composites. I have
never been able to figure out how it works or get any results.
According to support one needs to
"1) Open Categories window using Symbol->Categories menu item.
2) Select base index for given market in Markets tab and Base indexes
for - Composites combo.
For example if you are following NYSE this can by ^DIJ (Dow Jones
Average)
(certain symbol must be marked as index in Symbol -> Information and
must belong to the same market)
3) Choose "Symbol ->Calculate composites" menu item to open the
window shown below and mark:
- Number of advancing/declining issues and
- Apply to: all quotes, All markets
4) Click Calculate .
From now on the indicator should be visible for the markets you chose."
I have done this
and absolutely nothing shows up? Are the
Advances/Declines stored under a Composite? If so how does one find
it? and can that data be used with formulas where A/D or volume is
used? Any or all help will be appreciated. Thanks
