Yes there is a lot to learn in the whole package, and it is difficult
to know where to start
Sorry i cannot help on te QP data, perhaps someone who uses it can help.

To start with here are some basics

1. Read the manual (help pages) that relate to what you are trying to
do. eg to start with as you have alreeady learnt you need to know how
to get the data to be read by AB. That will happen so move to step 2
2. The built in charts are good, but you do have to wade through a lot
of param functions as they allow you to change a lot on screen. eg MA
lenghts, plot colours etc. I created a starter's example afl which
includes some basic items. It is in the AFL library on the AB website.
Called AFL Example. This will show you some basic ideas on how to code
the basic items. eg chart, buy/sell signals, explorations etc
3. Read the manual on parts that relate to what you are wanting to do
at the time of wanting to do it. I point out the search window in the
help screen which can help to find those elusive items (provided of
course you know what it is called :) )
