"NON-SMART" means directed to particular exchange, specfically in your code.

 

By default, IBController always uses "SMART" routing.

Is there an extra cost paid to IB for using the IBController to route orders automatically?

As far as I know, IB charges $0.005/share, and an additional $0.003/share for non-smart API orders.

Does IBc uses smart or non-smart order routing?
