Dan and group- Happy belated Thanksgiving. Sorry about crashing in.
I'm the one with too much tryptophan in my system, plus the regular
artery clogging stuff.
 
I meant this note as a reply to a local group. 
In addition to being used in the past in Russian subs, titanium being used in
higher percentages in airplanes, and TIE (TIMET) had a 6-7 parbolic run based on
metal prices and earnings. (probably as a pigment(TiO2) also but I don't think
that's what's driving the price of this metal as CNBC says.)
 
I'm not taking Yuki's advice (although I circulated it yesterday to my local group)
focus on a few things.
"And a computer can easily tempt you to follow more
markets than your brain can really handle.  IMHO, the more you focus,
and patiently wait for "events" in what you will forever remain
focused on, the better you will trade" Yuki
 
On another topic for Dan and other QP3 users?
How are you handling the need for a retail money market fund quoted in your database
like FDRXX or SPRXX.  I've tried with the QP management to get it included with the updates
but wondered if anyone in the group has a workaround. In AFL I can generate an interest rate fund
but wanted a real life ticker symbol in my data base.  Yahoo does not provide the historical
data on these fund symbols, probably because they are not really mutual funds, although the FastTrack
users get this data with FastTrack.

I took Dimitrios’ latest code and made minor, “cleanup” mods to it.  

 

However, I found that the code is extremely resource intensive.  So, I placed the code in a function in my “Include” file and added a toggle parameter to turn it off and on.  The code is below.  (Watch the line wrapping.)

 

When using it, you will need to change the sensitivity for each chart.  In an EOD chart, I usually start at 3 and change it to suit the chart.

       BardInd_LastPeak is the BarIndex of the last Peak

       BarInd_LastTrough is the BarIndex of the last Trough

       if BardInd_LastPeak > BarInd_LastTrough then the last Peak is after the last Trough.

       In this case [when g = BardInd_LastPeak > BarInd_LastTrough is true], the expected parabolic should

       be descending, else it should be ascending.

       H1-f*t^2 is the equation of the descending parabolic

       H11+f*t^2 is the equation of the ascending parabolic

       The "parabolic=IIf(g,H1-f*t^2,H11+f*t^2);" means

       If g is true, select the descending parabolic, else select the

       ascending one.

       The reason of this logic is to plot only the important parabolic, ie

       the last one. The previous parabolics have only historical value, the

       last is the "hot" for decision making.
