UltraEdit is excellent. It can be customized to highlight (but not
syntax check) AFL code just like the AB editor. It has line numbers, an
excellent Compare facility, automatic code indenting, powerful search
and replace (even in files), etc.
I have the text file to customize it and I believe it's also posted on
Amibroker.com somewhere.

PS: The AB editor does give line numbers which are not displayed, but it
also highlights the problem line of code in yellow so it's very easy to
find. (Occasionally, it highlights the wrong line.)

I am getting simply flummoxed by the AmiBroker Editor.
After Editing, and using the AFL test, the results are given according

I would appreciate a suggestion for an editor that recognizes Line
Numbers,
so that I can interpret the AB-Edit. The more intelligent the better. I
do
have Multi-Edit 6, but no highlight file that would help with AB (I
think).
I really don't know what I'm doing here, so I'd appreciate suggestions
that
would provide the most BANG for the Buck.
