Friday is now up-to-date. Wonder how long it'll
take to get Monday going? My experience has been its somewhere between 8:00 and
10:30PM EST. Guess we'll see.
Yuki, I agree in general about the hit and
miss way index data is provided. Can't remember a specific name right now
but I've had indexes that just stop providiing new data. And others where
historic data is no longer provided but current Yahoo still works. Miss a day of
current download and you're out luck for that day. The ticker is still in
Yahoo but no new data. When I ask Yahoo for an explanation the response is
usually their data provider no longer supports that specific
ticker.
This seems to be confined to indexes mostly.
ETFs are where most of my attention lies and that data seems okay
except for late quotes in AM. I suspect its just late opening of that
ticker.

Subject: Re: [amibroker] No Yahoo data
Friday
BTW, the Friday historical US data holes have now been
filled.
Interestingly, I had four holes develop on October 20 in
current day data. Two were in indices: ^NYK and ^CFA, and two were in
plain vanilla equities. I use current day for all of these, as
it's earlier, and those two indices don't report volume to Yahoo
anyway (and I don't really *need* the volume for those). For almost
a month, they have been absent from the historical data as well
(on 10/20/2005). The two equities were CEM and PPL.
Finally,
sometime this week, the two equity holes have been filled in. The
index holes remain. Go figure.
Yuki
