If you're using EOD data, why don't you get one of
those inexpensive
file synchronizers like WMatch 3.0 and
synchronize your QP database on both your Laptop
and workstation; as I do it.
I have QP3 on both workstation and laptop and I update the
EOD
data when required on the laptop, usually prior to
going to a meeting or traveling. QP allows legal
installation on two
machines.
Now I think you'll still have to restart AB to get
to today's updated data and at times when
you're downloading data you'll have to shut down
AB so QP will have full access to the database
and be able to compress the files.
Peer to peer computing works fine except when you lose
a logical link like this and can't tell how
the link was lost.
A copy of QP on each system works for me. Haven't tried
the file synch on QP but use it on other
requirements.

System works fine, but loses all data
occasionally. I would have to close and restart Amibroker to restart data
access.
It seems that my (wireless) network has
occasional glitches and loses access to my desktop.
Is there a way to restart the network without
having to close and restart AB?
