(I sent this question to support also. I am not sure if that
is the way to do it or just ask here.)
The main question:
My computer needs to have windows reinstalled. Can I just copy the
folder "amibroker" under program files to a separate disk, and then
lift (copy) it back when I have finished installing windows (and
the computer is clean)? Or do I have to run an install again?
The thing is ofcourse that I would like to keep all my settings
as they are. I know databases can be just copied, and formulas,
but the whole program?
I did a windows reinstall before, and reinstalled with the
installer file which I had downloaded. But then I had to manually
reconfigure everything, and to my horror also had to rewrite all my
own indicators.
It would be nice if I didnt have to do this again.
I understood that the scans and explorations are stored under AFL
folder, so I just copied them. But where are the indicators stored?
And the layouts for a certain database? (I have several databases,
all with different layouts).
Actually I tried to run my old install (it was on a separate
harddisc) on the "new" computer, and it worked. But it messed up
all layout-settings in the "new" install.
Thanks for help!
/J.
