Hi Ara,
Another workaround that has been available for a long time is to create a
custom tool to link a browser window. The new twist is that you
can now put the tool on the toolbar by: Tools ->
Customize -> Tools tab, then New, name the tools and enter the path to
the location on your hard drive or the URL in the Command: and Initial
directory. Thereafter you can create a custom Toolbar and put the Tools
(presently named as User defined tool 1 through 10, the name you gave the tool
will appear once you close the customizing box) on it or on an existing
toolbar. You can create your own Icon for each as well.
Then with a click you can open a browser window and you're off and
running. I have tools set up to the equis site for "TA from A to Z",
Purebytes archives, the AFL Tutorial and several other reference works on
my hard drives, and several scripts that I run. This upgrade has been
tremendous.
By the way -- has anyone else discovered the joy of being able to "float"
the different workspace tabs outside the confines of AB display? With my
multiple monitors, I can spread AB across 2 displays (with multiple
windows) and then float the RT Quote display, Profile, Notepad, etc., to a
third monitor. Perhaps this has been noted already, there have been so
many posts on the new UI. Really neat work and still more to
discover.
Peace and Justice --- Patrick
