Dan
& Patrick,
Because
recent discussions centered on retrieving everything for subsequent
processing, I unchecked both boxes for my retrieval
tests
I can
now confirm that retrieval with both boxes checked loads the bad
tickers—sounds like something only TJ could explain J
Further,
the failure to load stocks in the unchecked instance was apparent from the
progress bar once I looked.
The
above observations were with on a Win2k box running
4.73.0.
Found
the same on a XP-Pro box that was still at
4.72.1
I
can’t pursue this further since I’m trying to get my TC2005 DB in order before
QP lapses on the 28th.

Subject: RE: [amibroker] 47 Missing
QuotesPlus Index Symbols and Auditing QP Data
Bob,
I wish
I could agree with you. I got the same results as
Patrick.
I
deleted the symbols below and then retrieved Common Stocks, Indices and
Sector/Industry groups from QP. The bad tickers reappeared. The
problem is that the DO have quotes, but the quotes are
stale.
I ran a
scan to find all symbols whose prices have not changed in the last
year. I got the tickers below.
Regards,
Dan.
