Ok, I see now how to control the width of all the columns like Ticker: Just
     SetOption("NoDefaultColumns", True );
 
and then have an addcolum/addtextcolumn with the pixel settings for all columns desired.

Default columns? You mean the way to remove them?
If so, it is already possible via:
 
SetOption("NoDefaultColumns", True );
 
Or.. you mean columns added always: you can write an include file
for that and use it in every exploration (one line instead of many)
 
#include <mydefcol.afl>
