IMO it would be a handy improvement if user could control (right click - adjust properties?) display of "empty" nodes in workspace symbol tree. For example in the past I have setup a sector and industries structure and then when viewing workspace doubted whether it has actually been setup correctly due to empty (no symbols) sector/industries not being displayed. In some situations you want empty nodes to show and others not.

When I go to Organize Assignments>watchlists, I can see the symbols residing within the #0 list that I renamed with a date, and I can also see the symbols in the List#1 that I did not rename.  I am also running scans on the List#1 as a filter, and am  getting buy arrows on the symbols within List#1     Hope this helps.  Ron D

Are you sure that watch list you want to see is NOT EMPTY?

View>refresh all did not work, then I restarted Amibroker, and repeated View>refresh all, and still no luck.
Thanks for the suggestion.    Ron D

Unless I'm missing something, that's normal.  As soon as you populate a Watchlist it will appear in the Workspace under Watchlists.

A long time ago, I used watchlists, and they did show up in workspace.

Yesterday, I renamed the #0 list to the current date, and populated it with stocks.   I also populated the #1 list with stocks, but did NOT rename it.

I do see a manila colored watchlist folder in the workspace, but it has watchlists in it.  I wonder why.   Ron D

Hello,

Actually, empty lists do not appear. So you have to populate watch list if you want it to appear in the workspace symbol tree.

Tomasz,

That is definitely an easier way.   But…

My Watchlists don’t show up in the “Workspace à Watch lists” folder until they have been renamed to something other than the default name at least once.   E.g., from “List 1” (original name) to “Tradable Symbols (1)” (current name).   Am I missing something?

Best regards,

Dan.

Actually it is single-click when item is already selected - so you can call it "very slow double click", if you wish :-)
