Joe,

The additional checks induce delay only during Database Settings->Configure->Retrieve.

There is absolutely no additional delay during regular explorations / backtesting.
Actually with new plugin they may run slightly faster because the database does
not contain any empty symbols.

*New* (todays) QP2 plugin 1.5.1 is available already
