Actually, that's not quite what I meant. That works as long as the code is already showing in a watchlist, for example, but if I want to display a NEW stock, that's not on a watchlist, there is no ticker in the workspace to right-click on. I've right-clicked madly all over the main pane, toolbars, and dropdown stockcode, just in case I've missed something, but all to no avail. The only way I can find to add that stock to the favourites is via the 'i' icon as described.
My data is in Metastock format, just in case that makes any difference, and I display a stock by typing the code into the dropdown window on the toolbar. It's an instant way to do it, without having to open the "All" list in the workspace then find the one I want. I never use that "All" list as it pushes my Favourites and Watchlists off the bottom of the workspace by a mile. I have no idea what the other headings are for - Markets, Groups, and Sectors. Never use them. They just sit there - never been game to try and delete them.
Just to reiterate - type a stockcode into the dropdown box (one that is NOT already on a watchlist), then try to put it in the favourites list. That's what I felt could be a little easier, and more consistent with the way one removes a stock from the Favourites list.
