It is the SMTP version. POP3 is for receiving. Of course, the actual
name depends on your ISP as some just use mail."yourserver".com for both
sides. Mine uses pop."myserver".com for receive and smtp."myserver".com
for sending. AB does NOT use receive side at all.

| I cannot get email to find my SMTP server. I've tried all of the
| possibilities -- pop3 before smtp seems right to me, but my
| pop server
| has a different address than the smtp server, and there's no place to
| specify both. I have tried 2 computers and 2 mail systems (Outlook
| express and Groupwise -- same problem). Any thoughts?
