I agree with building your own index'es or is it  indices?  I do it with a nightly AddtoComposite run that
calculates market breadth/metrics for the NYSE, NASDAQ,NDX, Ru2000.  However it's always a two
step process,  one to create a static or persistent array and the other to use it in your analysis...
as best I can tell ATC doesn't work in an Inidicator window.  Maybe we'll get StaticArrays one day.

Best regards

Subject: [amibroker] AB Needs A Simple Index Builder

For us who like to build our own indexes without the programming
requirement, this would be another reason to use Amibroker all the
way. I'm not sure if Tomasz has ever considered this before, but as
of now, Genesis charting software has one of the most easiest index
builder function.

I think AB can add this magnificent function as people love to build
their own stuff especially for us who work with analysis. Another
powerful reason would be the availability of free data on foreign
symbols from Yahoo.

Currently I use another software to build my indexes. The simplicity
is add/delete symbols to into a field. Then you choose index method
by pressing a button 1) market weighted index 2) Equal weight 3)
Price weight.

I have attached a print screen image of the index builder in the
files section. Just to show how it "should" be - check it out.

Sincerely,
