One problem could be is - you don't have the symbols in your database or you have the data but don't

 have the correct symbols for the data you're interested in.  If you're not comfortable running DBView, do what I used to do

a lot of, and that is write an addcolumn for every variable you're wondering about and you'll soon

see why you don't get anything.   Run this in AA Explore for a certain date range and see what you get.

That will tell you if your foreign statements are working.

Best Regards

JOE

// ADLine - Adv/Decl Securities + Adv/Decl Volume -NYSE

// Rev A

//April 2005

AddSecs = Foreign( "$ADV", "Close" );

DecSecs = Foreign( "$DECL", "Close" );

UDSecs = AddSecs / DecSecs;

AddVol = Foreign( "$UVOL", "Close" );

DecVol = Foreign( "$DVOL", "Close" );

UDVol = AddVol / DecVol;

Plot(UDSecs, "UpDn Secs", colorRed, >

styleLine + styleThick );

Plot(UDVol, "UpDn Vol", colorGreen, >

styleLine + styleThick );

Filter =1;

AddColumn(Addsecs,"Advancers");

AddColumn(DecSecs,"Decliners");

AddColumn(UDSecs,"Ratio");

Subject: [amibroker] Plotting eSignal $UVOL $DVOL

Group,

I would like to create a simple plot of the A/D issues
and A/D volume using eSignal data as follows:

// ADLine - Adv/Decl Securities + Adv/Decl Volume -
NYSE
// Rev A
//April 2005

AddSecs      = Foreign( "$ADV",   "Close" );
DecSecs      = Foreign( "$DECL",  "Close" );

UDSecs       = AddSecs / DecSecs;

AddVol       = Foreign( "$UVOL",  "Close" );
DecVol       = Foreign( "$DVOL",  "Close" );
UDVol        = AddVol / DecVol;

Plot(UDSecs, "UpDn Secs", colorRed,   >styleLine + styleThick );
Plot(UDVol,  "UpDn Vol",  colorGreen, >styleLine + styleThick );

The code does not return any data.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

Reef-Break
