this is an operating system with tons of free software. for ab running on win
or linux operating system is/should be no difference.
however, linux gives you some other important advantages over win:
1. multitasking/multiprocessing
2. multiuser
3. free of viruses
4. better control over configuration etc
5. frequent updates, patches etc
6. better support (worldwide)
and all this is for free
nb. i do not want to start discussion what is the best for you. try yourself
and you will find the best solution for you. in case you choose linux to try
and require any help i would be happy to support you with my ideas or
solutions.
