Thanks, Graham, but I don't think that's the problem in my case.  What 
I'm doing basically is:

- import a csv file
- edit a line of data via automation

At this point the chart is showing the old, unedited data but a csv 
export shows the changes I made.  If I read the data via automation, I 
also see the new data.  Strange.
