FYI,
Bill Barack of Barack Capital Management is conducting two 1½ day
seminars on the Amibroker technical analysis software program to
anyone interested in attending. The Amibroker website
(www.amibroker.com) describes AmiBroker as "…a comprehensive
technical analysis program, allowing you to study and predict trends
in the market and to maintain a portfolio of shares. It
incorporates a powerful set of technical analysis tools, OLE
Automation/ARexx interface with rich command set and several options
for quotation data import. All these features are available from
clean and user friendly interface."
Don't let the computer jargon scare you. This course is meant for
beginners and will be a hands on learning experience. Attendees are
encouraged to bring laptop computers with Amibroker Version 7.0
installed. The newly released Amibroker Version 4.70 incorporates
many new features not taught at the 2004 Monitor conference. Many
of these features will be covered in the course, especially the
new "drag and drop" indicator functionality.
The training will be conducted over two weekends and is designed to
teach new Amibroker users how to use the program. The training
sessions are scheduled April 16-17 and May 14-15 at the University
of West Florida in Pensacola, FL. Training will be from 8:30 –
4:30
on Saturday and 8:30 – 12:00 on Sunday. The noon completion time
on
Sunday is designed so attendees can make flight arrangements for
Sunday afternoon if desired.
The cost of the training is $250 per weekend. Contact Lee Harris at
lharris700@xxxxxxx to register and receive a list of local
hotels/motels and directions to the meeting location.
Warm regards,
Lee Harris
