Well, unfortunately, during day-trading hours there is not much change in CPU.

I am not sure if I remember correctly but it seems to me that this parameter was added especially for you
(i.e. on your request because you wanted to immediatelly retrive all data and save it to the database
without need to run any scan)

Yes, that does it. I felt AB was taking more CPU before changing.
(as much as 50%). Trading session just ended so I will know for sure
tomorrow.

Now, what does this parameter do?

One thing I forgot, you may go to
FILE -> DATABASE SETTINGS ,
click on "CONFIGURE" and

UNCHECK
"Force instant quote retrieval for all symbols"

checkbox.
