Hi Eugene,
IB itself doesn't support backfill yet. Its been widely hoped for for
some time, but they don't seem to have it as a priority. They have
the architecture in place as that is what allows them to display a
chart, so I think Tomasz added that option in anticpation of them
making it available. However no joy yet.
