I love it when they tell you how much money you can make without telling you how much you need to invest or the DDs you should expect. It usually leads me to click "delete" without the slightest hesitation :-)

best regards,

Subject: [amibroker] Star Trader

Are any of you UK AmiBroker users familiar with  a program
called "Star Trader". They have been running some big ads in the
Dallas Texas paper on a seminar that promotes/sells this program. I
looked it up on the internet and find it is out of the UK ... this is
what the BBC said about it.
"MCI Technologies sell a 'state of the art' software program called
Star Trader. Even if you have no prior knowledge of the Stock
Exchange, Star Trader is said to make you into a city trader from the
comfort of your computer.
The software analyses the last 15 years of trading and calculates the
best times to buy and sell shares. Their salesmen claim that you can
make £30,000 in the first year of using it.
Viewers told Watchdog they found the software complicated and reliant
on guesswork. Even when they have seen profits, viewers found that
profitable trades are unlikely to cancel the broker's charge and cost
of losing trades. Watchdog discovered that MCI are not licensed by
the Financial Services Authority to recommend shares and give
investment advice."
Let us know if it is something worth checkin into or just another
scam. Thanks,

Dick H
