Hello,

 

Use Windows Start->Run menu,

type

MSCONFIG.EXE

 

This will run System configuration utility.

Switch to "Run" (or startup)  tab

and locate "MIRC" and UNCHECK IT and it will NOT run on startup anymore.

I have this program mIRC in my backup computer ... seems like it's running in the background ... is used to integrate chat rooms (at least that's the claim) ...  ... it is not visible in the task manager .... and I can not uninstall it from the system because it is running as soon as I boot up ...

 

Any one with a solution?
