Hello Al,
I do it in the reverse way. For
example I first download data from 1st June 2004 till date. Then I download from
1st Jan 2004 to 1st June 2004. I also have Automatic Import check marked so that
after download, all stuff right away gets into AB rather than stay as Text files
in the folder. For Appending of Existing files, go to
AmiQuote -> Tools ->Settings
-> Here change Overwrite to Append and it shall do the needfull.

Canadian stocks
Thanks, Prashanth:
I
started doing this today, but each time I increment to the next 6-month time
period, the previous file appears (in Windows Explorer in the
Amiquote/Download folder) to be overwritten by the new one, i.e., the data
files are not getting bigger. How do you APPEND to the last file?

Hello Al,
When Importing data from Yahoo
for stocks which are not Indices nor US Listed, Yahoo at a time gives data
for 200 days only. Hence you have to change the From and To date settings to
Import the data you want. Normally what I do is give From & To date
settings for 6 months at a time and keep on changing the same until my
required history has been downloaded.

[amibroker] Importing Canadian stocks
Hi, all:
Having always
been a QP3 plugin user, I have never needed to use Amiquote since first
owning AB. But recently, I became interested in some Canadian stocks that
I cannot get using QP3. So, after creating a .tls file, I tried importing
10 years of historical data for a list of tickers traded on the TSE.
However, I only got 11 months of data imported rather than 10 years. I
followed the help file exactly, and I know that many of the symbols go
back more than 11 months. So, what am I doing wrong? I noticed that the
symbols appear in my QP3 database. Is this correct, or should they be
stored in the AB local database? Does it matter where they are stored? I'm
importing from Yahoo. Thanks for any help anyone can give.
