Yuki,

There's no substitute for expert judgment (managed entirely at your
own discretion -- using all of your technical indicators and your own
investment and trading judgment, applied across a broad array of
asset classes -- discretionary trading) in investing.

But technical analysis helps investors filter out all the blather and
hype about stocks, futures, forex and the economy. It's based on
hard, objective data from the market itself -- not the half-baked
opinions (no Technical Analysis) of talking heads on TV who have
their own axes to grind.

Your posts are more valuable (in my opinion), because you combine
discretionary trading with Technical Analysis, but I am not always
clear about the strategy involved, though I am convinced you have a
valid one. I do miss your discussions with DT where I sometimes
(when I can find time) jump in...

rgds, Pal
